
Responsible Adult
in Childcare Settings
Would you like to understand more about the world of children and to be a better parent or teacher?
This course was developed by Creative Cha Cha Cha and meets the requirements for 20 hours of training in the “Responsible Adult” course as stipulated by the Child Care Regulations in order to qualify for employment in family child care or school age child care settings.
This course covers basic concepts about child development from birth to twelve years of age:

Child Guidance.

Health Safety and Nutrition.

Child Growth & Development.

Programming
Requirements:

Participants must be at least 19 years old.

Capable to work with children.

Pay the fee.
Employment possibilities:
-
School Age Group Child Care (licensed).
-
Occasional Child Care (licensed).
-
Casual family drop-in programs, family child care assistants or other related positions.

This course also meets the training requirements for non ECE Child- minders in IIB funded Child-minding programs.

As a replacement or a substitute/casual on call for Early Childhood Education Assistants (licensed group child care centres or preschools).
At this point in time we are unable to offer child care during training.
